Crestar’s Enrichment Division Expresses Support Solidarity

May 13, 2020

During the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic, business units of the Crestar Education Group (CEG) had in various ways expressed and given their support and encouragement to those affected by the disease, as well as front liners, in China and Singapore.

The show of solidarity by Enrichment Schools under CEG, namely Crestar Learning Centre, Crestar School of Dance and Chinese Bridge Language School, has been featured in a short video in March 2020.

CEG has close ties with China through its preschool and enrichment presence, as well as training institution collaborations for some 30 years. In October 2014, Crestar School of Dance expanded into China, launching its first dance school, Crestar Ballet Academy, in Wangjing SOHO, Beijing. The Academy offers an invigorating platform for students from China and international students to learn dancing and enjoy exchange of cultural experiences.

In their show of solidarity, students from Crestar Learning Centre, Crestar School of Dance and Chinese Bridge Language School in Singapore crafted messages on cards and posters encouraging China, and the world, in their fight against the virus.

A fund-raising exercise was also initiated, in response to the call by the Singapore government to donate through the Singapore Red Cross to China and other affected countries.

The spontaneous acts of empathy and solidarity from our students, parents, teachers and staff have been overwhelming and we thank all of them for their effort and support. In particular, the activities have also helped to lift the spirit of our young children and allowed them to learn how important and meaningful it is to support and care for those in need in times of crisis.
