Crestar students help light up Mid-Autumn celebration at PAssionArts Festival 2022 in Woodlands

October 1, 2022

As part of Crestar’s community engagement effort, a group of its dance students gave a rousing performance at the Mid-Autumn festival celebration in the Woodlands heartland on 17 September.

They were invited by the Admiralty Zone 10 Residents’ Committee to add some pizazz to the event that was a part of the island-wide PAssionArts Festival 2022. It was held in Vista Park in Woodland Drive 16.

Watched by more than 1,000 residents, nine of the students performed a hip hop dance while another eight presented a ballet showcase to the tune of  但愿人长久 about life. It was an important break for the students who had endured Covid restrictions over the last two years.

The celebration programme included other activities such as lantern/mooncake making, lantern riddles, mask painting, and story-telling for children.

Crestar was also given a booth to showcase art pieces done by its children. The display complemented the aim of the three-month long PAssionArts Festival, which brought the arts into the heartlands to engage the community and celebrate the creativity of Singaporeans.
